ATLANTA’S GRAND FINALE
and we REALLY want to see you, please join us!

Dear Dancers, Spectators, and Friends,

Region 6 of USA Dance cordially invites you to the 19th and final Southeastern Regional DanceSport Championships in Atlanta, GA on October 19 & 20 at the Georgia World Congress Center.  Several chapters in Region 6 have bid on this event and USA Dance has decided to move the competition around to different locations in order to give other chapters the opportunity to host the event.
If you have danced in this premier competition, you will want to return as we are planning the biggest and best ever to wind up 19 years of hard work and 19 years of wonderful memories and superb dancing. If you’ve never been, we invite you to experience what many competitors call one of the best organized regionals in the country.
Dancers will note a significant change in our line up. We are offering a Senior 4 category, over 62 years of age (both partners). This is not a proficiency point earning category, and does not limit Senior competitors to dancing in only two consecutive age categories. Also, we will begin the competition at 9:00 am on Friday morning instead of Friday afternoon. Senior 4 Syllabus and Novice events will be danced on Friday morning.
Please go to www.Atlantasrc.org for Registration, Deadlines, Rules and Eligibility, Tentative Schedule, Hotel Information & Rates, Advertising Rates and Spectator Information. The Omni Hotel and The Holiday Inn are now accepting reservations.
We awarded over $6500 in scholarships last year. The generosity of individuals, USA Dance chapters and vendors made these scholarships possible. We ask you to help advance the dancing of deserving amateurs by sponsoring a scholarship and adding your name on the “Angel” page of the program. Please contact Ann Smith to sponsor the event or events of your choice. jsmith5817@aol.com or 404-816-9939.
Competitive events will be completed by the end of the Saturday afternoon session. We will follow this last session with a seated banquet dinner and a gala evening of social dance with exciting Standard, Smooth, Latin and Rhythm championship competition and exhibitions.
You, the competitor, have made the SRC in Atlanta a standard of excellence for amateur competition.  We are honored to have had dancers from at least 40 states, England, Wales, Japan and Hawaii compete in this event over the years. We thank you for your past participation and most sincerely invite you to be a part of this final year of the SRC in Atlanta. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to make this dance extravaganza in one of the finest facilities in the country a memorable experience for you. Please join us as a competitor or as a spectator on October 19-20, 2007 in Atlanta.
Please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance in any way.
Yours in dance.
